This marvelous oil is made by infusing pure extra virgin olive oil with the blossoms, buds and tips of the plant. There is a relatively small window of opportunity as the flowers and buds must be harvested just as the flowers are opening or about to open. Then the infusion is set to infuse in the Mid-Summer Sun until the plant matter has released it's magickal and medicinal properties into the oil.

Magickally speaking, St. John’s Wort is incredibly solar. It has been used historically for various types of protection, for attracting love, acquiring and maintaining health and for weather magick.

Medicinally, St. John’s Wort Oil is an excellent all-purpose first-aid oil. It is favored by many massage therapists as a base for their massage oils due to its anti-inflammatory and healing properties. It is also used for sprains, strains, contusions, sunburn, damaged or inflamed skin, abrasions, eczema, psoriasis, sore joints and muscles, inflamed nervous conditions. In other words, its an all round, all purpose first aid oil. *

I have a small batch of this marvelous all natural oil made from flowers and buds grown in our own little mountain herb garden, but once it’s gone, it’s gone….at least until next year.
